Abkhazia, South Ossetia and Russian Recognition

Just very recently Dmitry Medvedev said: Russia's Recognition of Abkhazia and South Ossetia is final. I am sure he is right about one thing, it is final for him and Mr. Putin. As oil prices fall, and world is deep in financial crisis, Russia's reserves are melting. Soon they will not be able to feed their own people and military. Medvedev's and Putin's days are numbered and extension of Presidential term will not help. With much less oil money coming, Russia won't be able to keep its own regions together.
